Normally closed diaphragm solenoid valve body with 3/8" brazed connections, for refrigeration systems.
On the part: brass body with two stepped copper connections to braze, a stainless steel stem with a black O-ring and a hexagonal nut, a zinc-plated mounting bracket with two slots under the body and a threaded pressure port at the bottom.
CASTEL code 1068/3S.
Before ordering, check:
- Compare the 1068/3S marking with the one on the fitted valve and measure the connections: here they are 3/8" to braze.
- The same body also appears as 1068/3.
- The valve is normally closed, diaphragm type: with the coil unpowered it stays shut, so it does not replace a normally open one. The coil is not included: check that yours fits the stem and has the same voltage.
